A loaded 79 on standard suspension runs out of travel and damping long before the driver runs out of road. A King Shocks set gives back the wheel travel, controls the extra mass of a tray, canopy, long range tank and full touring load, and stops the rear stepping out on corrugation. We spec the set around what the vehicle actually carries.
